Apple announced new products again last night.

자, 총 세 종류인데 우리나라에도 출시하는 애플티비 4k부터 볼게요.

Okay, there are three in total, and let's start with the Apple TV 4K, which is also being released in Korea.

무려 4년 만에 신제품이에요.

It's a new product after a whole four years.

똑같아 보이는데 4년 동안 뭐 했냐?

It looks the same, so what did they do for four years?

한층 더 빨라진 성능을 제공한다.

It delivers even faster performance.

얼마나?

How much faster?

스마트티비 박스에다가 무려 A19를 박아버렸습니다.

They crammed an A19 into the smart TV box.

그래서 A15가 들어가 있던 전작에 비해서 최대 오십프로 더 빠른 CPU 성능과 최대 두 배 더 빠른 GPU 성능이 됐어요.

So compared to the previous model with the A15, CPU performance is up to 50% faster and GPU performance is up to twice as fast.

그러면서 원래는 이륙 사랑 이륙오만 지원을 했는데 이제는 AV1 디코더가 들어가 있습니다.

Also, it originally supported (unclear), and now it has an AV1 decoder built in.

사실 이건 A19에 들어가 있어서 그런 거긴 한데

효율이 더 좋기 때문에 더 적은 대역폭을 사용하면서도 고화질 스트리밍을 더 효율적으로 제공한다.

여기까지는 기존에 되던 거에서 그냥 성능이 좀 더 좋아진 건데

재미있는 거는 리모컨 시리 리모트인데 친숙한 디자인이 그대로죠.

The interesting part is the Siri Remote, whose familiar design stays the same.

디자인이 안 바뀌었다는 소리에요.

The design is the same, but it supports Find My.

그래서 정밀 탐색으로 리모컨을 찾는 것은 물론이고 사운드까지 재생해서 소파 사이에 낀 리모컨을 찾을 수 있다.

So besides finding the remote with precision finding, you can also play a sound to find a remote stuck between the sofa cushions.

저도 뭐 여기저기 붙여놨지만 특히나 리모컨에다가 요 트래커를 붙여놨는데

I've stuck trackers here and there too, especially on the remote, this little thing,

역시 사람들이 하는 짓은 거기서 거기죠.

but as expected, what people do is much the same everywhere.

트리플 마이크가 들어가 있어 가지고 사용자를 여섯명까지 구분해 가지고 자동으로 전환하는 건 물론이고 뭐 시리 부르는 거 당연히 되고요.

It has triple mics, so it can tell up to six users apart and switch automatically, and of course you can call Siri too.

홈 허브 역할을 수행하기 때문에 스마트홈 액세서리를 제어하고 호환되는 도어벨을 쓰면 이렇게 티비에 알림이 표시되고요.

Since it acts as a home hub, it controls smart home accessories, and if you use a compatible doorbell, notifications show up on your TV like this.

자동과 방문자 모드 어쩌고저쩌고.

There's auto mode, visitor mode, blah blah.

그러고 애플 아케이드랑 앱스토어에 게임 라이브러리가 되고 아이클라우드 사진을 티비에 맞춤 표시할 수 있고,

And you can use Apple Arcade, the App Store, a game library, and show iCloud photos on the TV as a custom display.

에어팟 바로 연결해 가지고 가족 안 깨우고 나 몰래 티비 볼 수 있고,

You can connect AirPods directly, so you can watch TV secretly without waking the family.

돌비 비전, HDR 텐플러스, 돌비 애트모스 다 지원하고

It supports Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and Dolby Atmos, all of it.

또 하나 중요한 변경점 중에 하나가 국내에는 홈팟 기어를 안 파니까 아예 내용이 사라져 있는데

Another important change is that, since they don't sell HomePod gear domestically, that content has disappeared entirely.

원래는 홈팟을 두 대 연결해서 저는 이게 의외로 가성비가 상당히 괜찮은 오디오 구성이라고 생각을 했는데

Originally you connected two HomePods, and I thought that was a surprisingly good-value audio setup.

이제는 최대 네 대를 연결해서 전방 후방까지 할 수 있습니다.

Now you can connect up to four and do front and rear.

참고로 요거 네 개는 어떻게 연결하든지 상관이 없지만 앞이랑 뒤는 같은 애여야 됩니다.

For reference, it doesn't matter how you connect these four, but the front and the rear have to be the same model.

왼쪽에 큰 홈팟, 오른쪽에 홈팟 미니 2 이렇게는 안 돼요.

You can't do it like this, with a big HomePod on the left and a HomePod mini 2 on the right.

그리고 크게 홍보하지는 않았는데 중요한 부분 중에 하나가 원래는 블루투스 오쩜영에 와이파이 식스였죠.

And although they didn't promote it much, another important point is that it was originally Bluetooth 5.0 and Wi-Fi 6.

이제는 블루투스 육에 와이파이 세븐이 됐습니다.

Now it has become Bluetooth 6 and Wi-Fi 7.

그리고 원래는 와이파이 플러스 이더넷으로 올라가야 스레드가 되고 기가비트 이더넷, 이더넷 모델이니까 됐었는데 이제는 기본적으로 포함이 돼 있죠.

Also, originally you had to go up to the Wi-Fi plus Ethernet model to get Thread and Gigabit Ethernet, but now it's included by default.

이게 문젠데 인플레이션이고 가격 인상이고 뭐고 이해를 하려고 그래도 이 가격이 굉장히 쇼킹하다.

The problem is the price: with inflation and price hikes and all that, I try to understand, but this price is still really shocking.

사십사만 구천원이에요.

It's 449,000 won.

이제 더 이상 비티비 가입해가지고 애플티비를 어, 셋탑으로 쓰고 이런 거는 사치야.

You can't really subscribe to a TV service and use Apple TV as a set-top box anymore; that's a luxury.

자, 2022년에 전작 처음 나왔을 때 비싼 모델이 이십사만 구천원이었어요.

So, when the predecessor first came out in 2022, the expensive model was 249,000 won.

그러다가 얼마 전에 기습 인상을 해서 사십사만 구천원이 돼 가지고 아주 긍정적으로 보자면은 가격이 동결이네라고 생각할 수 있긴 한데

Then a while ago they suddenly raised the price to 449,000 won, and if you look at it positively you could think the price was frozen, but...

불과 몇 달 전까지 이십사만 구천원 주고 살 수 있던 걸 갖다가 사십사만 구천.

just a few months earlier you could buy it for 249,000 won, and now it's 449,000.

가격 차도 그런데 셋탑을 사십사만 구천원 주고 사는 게 이게 저는 쉬운 일은 아니라고 생각을 합니다.

There's that price gap too, and paying 449,000 won for a set-top box, I don't think that's an easy thing.

그래서 제가 보기에 특히나 우리나라에서는 수요가 확 떨어지지 않을까? 원래도 뭐 엄청나게 팔리는 물건은 아니었는데라는 생각이 있고요.

So in my view, especially in Korea, demand will plummet. I also think it was never a big seller to begin with.

그래서 바뀐 포인트 중에 하나가 아까 말씀드렸다시피 전작은 이더넷 모델로 가야 요런 게 추가가 되고 용량도 두 배가 됐었잖아요.

So one of the changed points, as I mentioned earlier, is that the previous model needed the Ethernet version to get this feature, and the storage also doubled.

이제 다 줍니다.

Now they give you all of it.

정확히 다 주는 게 아니라 저가형 이더넷 없고 육십사기가짜리 모델이 없어졌어요.

Well, not exactly everything: the budget non-Ethernet model and the 64GB model are gone.

사십사만 구천원짜리 단일 모델로만 구매를 할 수 있어요.

You can only buy the single 449,000-won model.

자, 다음으로 거기에 연결해서 쓸 수 있는 홈팟 미니 2가 나왔습니다.

Okay, next, the HomePod mini 2, which you can connect to it and use, has come out.

이거는 애플티비보다도 더 오래 걸렸어요. 전작이 2020년에 나왔으니까 무려 육년 만에 신제품이 나온 건데.

This took even longer than the Apple TV: the previous model came out in 2020, so the new product arrives a full six years later.

자, 생긴 거는 전작에서 물 좀 빠진 것 같이 생긴 게 전부인 것 같은데

As for the design, it seems like all they did was make it look a bit toned down from the previous model.

원래 애플 로제 칩스 에스파이브가 들어가 있었는데 이제는 에스텐이 들어갑니다.

It originally had the Apple S5 chip, but now it gets the S10.

참고로 최신은 에스십일이기 때문에 이거보다 한 세대 낮은 거여가지고 요 부분이 조금 아쉽긴 한데 에스텐이랑 에스십일은 차이가 많이 나거든요.

For reference, the latest is the S11, so this is one generation older, which is a bit disappointing, since the S10 and S11 differ a lot.

덕분에 이런 시리 에이아이가 되는 거는 물론이고 최대 여섯명 인식한다 그러는데 향후 업데이트에 정해요.

Thanks to that, not only does Siri AI work, but they say it can recognize up to six people; future updates will decide that.

처음엔 안 돼요.

It doesn't work at first.

이건 더 오래된 제품이기 때문에 블루투스 오쩜영에 팔공 이쩜일일엔,

Since this is an older product, it had Bluetooth 5.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11n,

그러니까 와이파이 포가 들어가 있었는데 이제 블루투스 육쩜영에 와이파이 식스로 훨씬 신형이 됐습니다.

that is, Wi-Fi 4, but now it's much newer, with Bluetooth 6.0 and Wi-Fi 6.

사실 시리 에이아이를 쓰면 좀 달라질 순 있겠지만

Actually, using Siri AI might change things a bit, but...

최적화이 원래 많이 왔다갔다 하는 제품이 아니니까 크게 아쉬운 부분이 아니라고 생각할 수도 있는데

it's not a product that moves around a lot to begin with, so you might think it's not a big disappointment.

꼭 이 와이파이들이 에스에스아이디 하나로 합쳐 놓으면 못 잡는 놈들이 있고,

Some devices just can't connect if you merge these Wi-Fi networks into one SSID,

두 개로 나눠 놓으면 정신 사납고 해가지고 뭐 밴드와 와이파이 기술은 언제나 일치하는 건 아니긴 한데

and if you split them into two it gets messy, and the band and Wi-Fi technology don't always match up either, but...

아무튼 신형이 된 게 저는 상당히 반갑고요.

Anyway, I'm quite glad it's a new model.

이것도 마찬가지로 스테레오 페어, 멀티룸 오디오 그리고 맥이랑 연결해서 이렇게 깔맞춤으로 예쁘게 쓸 수도 있습니다.

Likewise, you can connect this to a stereo pair, multi-room audio and a Mac and use it in a nicely color-matched setup.

덤으로 사운드 글로우라는 게 들어갔어요.

As a bonus, it also includes something called Sound Glow.

상단이 음악에 맞춰 빛나고 깜박이는 시각적 캔버스로 변모해 저음과 고음에 실시간으로 반응합니다.

The top turns into a visual canvas that glows and blinks to the music, reacting to bass and treble in real time.

여기까지는 크게 특별한 게 아닌데 재생되는 곡의 앨범 아트워크가 곡마다 고유한 색상 일치 조명 효과를 만들어낸대요.

Up to here it's nothing special, but they say the album artwork of the song playing creates a unique color-matched lighting effect for each song.

원래도 애플뮤직이 요런 앨범 아트 예쁘게 보여주고 움직이는 거 굉장히 잘하는데

Apple Music was already very good at showing album art prettily and making it move,

뭐 홈팟 미니 2를 갖다가 이렇게 열심히 볼 리는 없겠지만

but you probably wouldn't stare at the HomePod mini 2 like this.

이거는 조금 기대가 되는 거고요.

This part is something I'm a bit looking forward to.

그걸 원하지 않으면 빗소리와 같은 사운드 스케이프를 선택하여 편안한 분위기를 위한 맞춤형 애니메이션도 실행을 해준대요.

If you don't want that, it also runs customized animations for a relaxing mood by choosing soundscapes like the sound of rain.

뭐 그 외에 스마트홈을 간편하게 제어 이걸 놀라운 가격에 할 수 있겠다 그러는데

Besides that, they say you can control your smart home easily at an amazing price,

다른 의미로 놀랍기는 하거든요.

and it really is amazing, but in a different sense.

좀 이따 말씀드리고 소리 인식 있고 이상한 소리 났는데 뭔 일인지 확인해 보세요.

I'll tell you about that a bit later; there's sound recognition, and a strange sound occurred, so check out what that was about.

그리고 중요한 건 아닌데 원래 삼백 사십오그램이었는데 삼백삼십오그램으로 십그램이 가벼워지기도 했습니다.

And it's not important, but it went from 345 grams to 335 grams, becoming 10 grams lighter.

근데 거슬리는 게 몇 가지가 있어요.

But there are a few things that bug me.

홈팟 미니가 규모에 비해서 소리가 괜찮은 편이기는 한데 풀레인지 드라이버와 듀얼 패시브 라디에이터를 통해서 깊은 저음과 선명한 고음을 구현했죠.

The mics went from four to three.

하나가 줄었어요.

One was removed.

그 홈팟 커다란 놈도 이것저것 너프가 있었는데 소리는 여전히 좋지만 이놈도 너프가 있더라고요.

That big HomePod had some nerfs too, but the sound is still good, and this little one got nerfed as well.

그러면서 가격은 원래 구십구불이었는데 백사십구불로 오십프로가 인상됐습니다.

Meanwhile, the price went up 50%, from $99 to $149.

뭐 애플티비에 비하면 덜하기는 한데

Well, it's less bad than the Apple TV, but still.

자, 무려 2020년, 그러니까 육년 전에 나온 제품이니까 물가 상승률을 생각하면은 납득이 된다라고 얘기할 수도 있고,

자, 구글 홈 스피커는 구십구불 구십구전이고요.

The Google Home speaker is $99.99.

아마존 에코닷은 칠십구불 구십구전이에요.

The Amazon Echo Dot is $79.99.

걔네들은 비슷비슷해요.

Those two are about the same.

뭐 소리 나고 제미나이나 알렉사 되고 스마트홈 제어되고 백사십구불이면 에코닷 맥스보다도 비싼 거예요.

They produce sound, work with Gemini or Alexa, and control the smart home, and at $149 it's pricier than even the Echo Dot Max.

뭐 얼마나 잘 만들었는지 모르겠지만 가격이 저는 잘 모르겠다.

I don't know how well it's made, but as for the price, I'm not sure.

자, 근데 제일 재밌어 보이는 거는 애플 홈뷰예요.

Now, the most interesting-looking thing is the Apple Home View.

굉장히 오랜만에. 등장한 아예 새로운 폼팩터인데

It's a completely new form factor that has appeared for the first time in a long while.

So what is this?

오늘 발표한 것들이 전부 다 홈이기 때문에

Because everything announced today is for the home,

그리고 비슷한 제품들이 없는 게 아니기 때문에 예상하셨겠지만 스마트홈을 제어하는 센터피스 같은 느낌이라고 보시면 되겠습니다.

and because it's not as if there are no similar products, as you may have expected, you can think of it as a centerpiece for controlling the smart home.

자 근데 일단은 디자인이 의외로 호평이 있더라고요.

Anyway, the design has been unexpectedly well received.

근데 저는 상당히 귀여운 것 같은데 약간 그 호빵맨 생각도 나면서 호빵맨이라 그러면 안 되지.

I think it's quite cute, and it reminds me a bit of Anpanman, though I shouldn't call it that.

지포 아이맥 생각도 나면서 이 대가리스의 각도를 갖다가 제어할 수가 있단 말이죠.

It also reminds me of the G4 iMac, and you can control the angle of this head.

돌리는 건 안 돼요.

Rotating it isn't possible.

돌리는 건 그냥 통째로 돌려야 되고 이 수직 각도만 제어를 할 수 있는 것 같은데

You just have to rotate the whole thing, and it seems you can only control this vertical angle.

이게 칠 인치의 리퀴드 레티나 엘시디라는 뜻이에요.

This means it's a seven-inch Liquid Retina LCD.

일공팔팔에 일공팔팔 엘시디가 있고 최고 오백 니트까지 올라가는 거야 뭐

There's a 1088 LCD, and it goes up to a maximum of 500 nits, I guess.

대단치 않은데 최저 영점 삼 니트까지 내려간다고 합니다.

That's not very impressive, but they say it drops down to a minimum of 0.3 nits.

애플에서 제일 낮은 거래요.

They say that's the lowest of any Apple product.

보통은 일 니트거든요.

Normally it's about one nit, you see.

This display has True Tone built in, so it adjusts the color temperature to the surrounding environment.

It also has a 12-megapixel f/2.2 camera that supports Center Stage, so you can do FaceTime too.

So what can you do with this?

일단 첫 번째 디지털 액자에요. 아이클라우드에 있는 사진을 갖다가 예쁘게 표현한다는 게 중요하겠죠.

First, it's a digital picture frame; displaying the photos in your iCloud beautifully will be the important part.

그리고 생동감 넘치는 얼굴들 어쩌고저쩌고.

And lively faces and so on and so forth.

그리고 당연히 시리 에이아이가 들어가 있기 때문에 내 개인정보와 관련된 정보를 표시하는 것은 물론이고, 뭐 이렇게 바로바로 질문할 수도 있고,

And of course, since Siri AI is built in, besides showing information related to my personal data, you can also ask questions right away,

폰이랑 막 넘나들면서 그리고 뭐 요리 레시피 찾기, 아이폰에서 하던 거 그대로 핸드오프.

switch back and forth freely with your phone, and things like finding cooking recipes, what you were doing on your iPhone, just as it is, with Handoff.

그 외에도 음악, 뉴스, 오디오 스토리, 오디오북 플러스 써드파티앱 일부도 제공이 된대요.

Besides that, they say it also offers music, news, audio stories, Audiobooks Plus, and some third-party apps.

하지만 아이패드처럼 막 아무거나 깔아서 쓸 수 있는 건 아니고요.

But you can't just install and use anything at all like on an iPad.

색깔은 이렇게 네 가지고 유에스비씨로 전원을 공급받아요.

It comes in four colors like this and gets its power via USB-C.

그 시리 에이아이 되기 때문에 최대 여섯 명 사용자를 인식하고 각 사용자에게 맞춤형 환경,

Because it has Siri AI, it recognizes up to six users and gives each user a customized environment,

이거 영상 보니까 누나가 아이메세지 보다가 동생이 보려고 그러니까 화면이 직 실패.

and in this video, an older sister is viewing iMessage, then her younger sibling tries to look, and the screen swipes away, failing.

이런 거는 상당히 괜찮아 보이더라고요.

That kind of thing looks quite good.

그리고 애플이 진짜로 원하는 거, 여기 홈 뷰를 통해서

And what Apple really wants is, here, through the Home view,

그 애플 홈킷과 호환되는 액세서리들 연동 뭐 홈카메라 보기, 홈카메라에서 뭐 있으면 알려주기 같은 거 당연히 되고요.

naturally it works with Apple HomeKit-compatible accessories: integration, like viewing the home camera and getting notified if something happens on the home camera.

이 모든 걸 다 하기 위해서 여기다가 무려 에이십팔 칩을 달아놨습니다.

To do all of this, they've fitted it with no less than an A18 chip.

에브리데이 포케에 들어가 있는 에이십구만큼은 아닌데 상당히 강력한 칩셋을 달아놨고요.

It's not as powerful as the A19 in the Everyday Pocket, but they've installed a fairly strong chipset.

대신에 에이십팔이기 때문에 얘는 블루투스 육 점 영에 와이파이 식스이가 지원이 되는데 뭐 그런 쓰리은 당연히 되고요.

Instead, since it's an A18, it supports Bluetooth 6.0 and Wi-Fi 6E, and of course Thread works too.

홈팟 미니 구형에는 몇 년 동안 안 풀어준 온도 및 습도 센서도 들어가 있고.

It also has the temperature and humidity sensors that the old HomePod mini kept locked for several years.

자, 그래서 영상 보면 이렇게 테이블에 올려놓고 여러 사람이 쓰는

So, if you look at the video, it's placed on a table like this and used by several people.

간이 홈 태블릿 겸 스피커 겸 스마트홈 제어 겸 페이스타임 기계 뭐 이런 거예요.

It's a simple home tablet, speaker, smart-home controller and FaceTime device all in one.

사실은 애플에서는 새로운 컨셉이긴 한데 상당히 흔한 제품이에요.

Actually, it's a new concept for Apple, but it's quite a common type of product.

네스트 허브 이 세대와 네스트 허브 맥스, 그리고 픽셀 태블릿도 약간 거치 상태에서는 그렇게 쓰게 하려고 노력을 했었는데

The 2nd-generation Nest Hub, the Nest Hub Max, and the Pixel Tablet when docked also tried to be used that way.

아마존에서는 에코쇼십일 같은 게 딱 그 포지션이죠.

At Amazon, something like the Echo Show 11 is exactly that kind of product.

근데 여기서 또 하나 가격이 문제예요.

But here, the price is another problem.

자 홈뷰가 이백구십구 불이란 말이에요.

Okay, the Home View costs 299 dollars.

구글은 뭐 거의 포기 상태니까 신경 안 써도 될 것 같고.

Google has pretty much given up on this, so you probably don't need to worry about it.

아마존 에코쇼가 팔 인치짜리가 백구십구불 구십구전이에요. 백 불이 싸고요. 홈뷰 칠 인치죠.

The Amazon Echo Show 8-inch costs 199 dollars 99 cents, a full 100 dollars cheaper, and the Home View is 7 inches.

정갈한 업그레이드 인 것 같아요.

가격을 생각하면 삼점, 제품이 삼점짜리라는 게 아니에요.

My feeling right now is that the HomePod mini 2 has better performance,
