Yes, I think it's recording.

Thank you for having me.

Today's topic is the case of Agriculture Minister Yana Kazuo, whom the news has been bashing obsessively day after day.

As usual, the TV coverage is totally one-sided: the minister is hated and in the wrong, no politician like this is acceptable,

and it just keeps insisting he must resign immediately, so people who get their information only from TV news,

naturally take it in just as the TV station intends, and many probably feel that this is indeed a problem for a politician,

or perhaps it's just a vague impression from something they've seen.

I'm not sure people watching it will understand well, but some might feel the minister did something wrong.

But in this case, apparently, it's the usual pattern as always.

Just swallowing that TV news whole also seems dangerous, and as expected, that's the case.

They cut out only information convenient for them and report it, and don't report inconvenient information, and so on.

While exercising that freedom not to report, it has also come out that they are doing some fairly malicious impression manipulation.

So today I'd like to explain that area, if I can.

However, I can't really tell whether the issue in this case itself is good or bad,

so that is for the specialists, and many of them are explaining it on YouTube and elsewhere,

so for the more detailed contents and specifics, I'd like you to check those sources and judge for yourselves,

and here I'd like to cover only the problems with how that TV station reported it.

First, what is this case, and why has it become such a dispute in the first place?

The origin of the matter is that on September 30, Shukan Bunshun reported remarks by Minister Yana that were recorded...

This is the audio recording — as for that audio, you see,

it was said to be from a meeting held this May, attended only by local LDP-related people.

In it, Minister Yana made remarks to the effect that he would drastically cut road budgets for municipalities that had not supported him in the election,

and that became a problem, with people wondering whether it was political retaliation against municipalities that hadn't backed him.

However, in actual fact, part of that road budget had been reduced,

but for the region's budget as a whole, it had rather increased, and so on,

and besides that, Minister Yana had actually applied pressure and had them cut something.

The fact is that it has not been confirmed in the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism's investigation, so

in other words, in reality it seems the remarks he made were facts, but

it seems the content of the remarks itself differed from the facts, so he did not actually do it,

and it comes across as a situation where it's unclear why, as if he had said something as though he had done something bad.

And regarding those remarks, Minister Yanagi himself, besides retracting the content and apologizing, as for why he said such a thing,

he said he wants to work earnestly for his local area as an individual,

and at the same time, out of a wish to respond to the participants' feelings, he ended up making remarks that differ from the facts.

...that's what I did.

There was a kind of exhilaration within myself,

and I explained it as having ended up using somewhat exaggerated expressions.

Originally, the influential local people who had supported Minister Yanagi,

partway through they switched to supporting the rival candidate,

and, you know, he was harassed there and so on,

and in the February election he lost in his single-seat district,

but after that he somehow got revived through proportional representation, and, well, rose in rank,

and the fact that he came to hold a strong position, and also the supporters who had switched to the rival candidate,

the key players turned out to be the influential people of the local construction industry.

It seems like that's the case, so,

that area, you see,

it ties in with the road budget, and

why, at the time of that election, they had been hostile toward the other side, but

now I'm the one in a position to secure that budget — they were probably boasting about that among their own circle.

Even amid such hardship, toward the people who had supported them, it may have felt close to announcing a small victory.

And well, if they actually applied pressure and tampered with the budget, I think that would be a complete problem, but

for the time being, facts like that...

It seems like nothing has come out yet, so...

So, as for today's TV news, you see,

even supposing that fact didn't exist, they say it's a problem that a politician made such a remark, or

that it's a problem that he gave the public a sense of distrust toward important tax money, and so he should resign,

and even if it didn't actually affect the budget, they shift the tone to say that making such remarks is itself the problem,

while continuing coverage saying it won't settle unless he resigns, creating an atmosphere where things won't calm down unless he steps down.

On top of that, while recently also raising new issues like them shuttling voters by free shuttle bus, they keep repeating reports that press the PM on her responsibility for the appointment and drive Minister Yana to resign.

Given those circumstances,

as for Minister Yana,

I don't know whether the aim was to rally his own people,

and I do think the remark itself is certainly a problem, but

still, taking into account the messy circumstances behind it, when you think about it,

is it really to that extent...

a matter serious enough to pile on him and drive him to resign?

As for that, opinions may be somewhat divided.

Also, well, as the origin of it, after all it's piggybacking on the audio report that Bunshun put out,

with TV and the opposition parties grilling relentlessly — well, a scene like ones we've seen before,

and what's more, the previous one ended up being the slander video or something, and the suspicion that Bunshun fabricated the Sanae Talk audio or whatever became the bigger issue.

So, to begin with, there are doubts about whether this audio can really be trusted that far,

but as far as current TV reports go, regarding that point, no matter how much we were deceived in the past...

At any rate, he seems to be placing full trust in Bunshun.

That's the rough situation at the moment, but the main subject starts here.

Admittedly, even if his remark was a problem, the way that TV station reported it also...

...has turned up quite a few problems, and about that,

I'd like to cover it in the second half, if I can.

So what that is, is the content of a broadcast on a news program called News LOG, a follow-up reporting piece aired on Nippon TV last Saturday.

So in today's broadcast, the program was structured to probe why Minister Yana ended up making this kind of remark,

and the key clue to the truth was in the continuation of the audio of that issue, so they focused on the remark that serves as the clue.

And the remark in question, at the scene of the incident, was what Minister Yana said in the audio—what I found unforgivable was that he was giving a street speech during the election period.

At that time, a car the man himself was riding in came up, and do you think he said something to me through the mic?

He said, "Let's do our best together."

That's the part where he said, "Isn't that just 'Hey you, stop messing with me'?"

This was during the election period, while he was giving a street speech.

As I mentioned earlier, a car belonging to a rival candidate's supporter passed by, and from it someone called out, "Let's do our best together."

In response, Minister Yada made the remark, thinking "Hey, stop messing with me," at a meeting of his own insiders.

So, what bothers me here is this.

It's why Minister Yada thought "Stop messing with me" when the rival candidate called out "Let's do our best together."

First of all, when rival candidates happen to run into each other at some venue during the campaign,

they usually say things like "let's all do our best" or "let's make this a great election together."

Exchanging words like that is apparently a common kind of greeting.

Of course, in their true feelings they may be thinking "I hope you lose," but

it is customary to trade that sort of polite formality, just for form's sake.

So Minister Yanada should be used to that kind of thing too,

so why would he have thought "don't mess with me" over something like that?

So, regarding that, the follow-up report on News Log, you see,

by digging deeper into it, was structured so that Minister Yanada's true nature came into view.

And as for the program's explanation at that time, well,

first, after introducing his 'you bastard, quit messing around' remark,

the narration has Minister Yanada act as if confronting Watanabe, an independent first-term lawmaker.

And then, again using Minister Yanada's audio,

they spliced together the remark 'I'm now in the position of chief deputy secretary-general, so if I call you to the office, I can do things like this'.

So, well, if you look at this closely, it's hard to really tell,

but it just gives a vague kind of impression, you know,

but what kind of impression do viewers get from it?

The opposing candidate is a newcomer, while on the other hand Minister Yada has become important by holding the position of chief deputy secretary-general,

so the idea is that a guy like that can be made to come whenever I call, that's how big the gap in standing is.

Even though he's a newcomer, he supposedly said, 'Let's work together with me, the great politician,'

and something like 'you're ten years too early, you fool.'

Somehow it was edited together so that he comes across as someone who looks down on people because of differences in position.

First of all, this splicing of the footage is also a problem, but I'll explain that a little later.

First, for now, the explanation in that program continues after this, and after that,

he once supported Minister Yada's election, and later went on to support his opponent, Mr. Watanabe,

and I interviewed a man called Mr. Mimori, a former Tochigi prefectural assembly member, who gave an interview about his impressions of Minister Yada.

There, Mr. Mimori said that at first he thought Minister Yada was a politician with the grit to work hard even on his election speeches.

However, he said that although he had tried his best to advise him so that he would become a good politician, Mr. Yada had a tendency to sharply divide people into enemies and allies, and came to see anyone who didn't support him as an enemy.

Personally, I thought, well, isn't it only natural to see people who don't support you in an election as enemies? But...

But as a TV program, you see,

it used an interview that left an impression of Minister Yada as someone who sharply divides enemies from allies and decides things that way,

and then, as the closing part,

regarding the reason for the 'Hey you, don't screw around' remark,

the narration said that Mr. Yada's former supporters had been the opposing candidate's side.

It was summarized with the explanation that he said he may have wanted to show lawmaker Watanabe his own power.

In other words, what the News Log investigative report conveyed to viewers was

why Minister Yada made the remark about cutting the budget.

The key clue to the truth lies in the opposing candidate's 'Let's work hard together,' which came after that remark, and in the response to it,

the statement 'Don't screw with me, you!'

Why did this remark come out? Well,

the opposing candidate is a newcomer and an enemy, while he himself is a big shot, clearly separating enemies from allies,

and Minister Yada is an arrogant man who, though facing a newcomer, thinks 'Let's work hard together? Don't screw with me.'

So it was a report that made it seem as though the budget-cut remark also came from that kind of personality.

That's why people who only watched this program may well have felt, "Ah, he must really be that kind of person."

But in this follow-up reporting news log piece on the matter, an important piece of information was left out.

If that explanation had been included, the impression might have changed a lot.

So, what was the information that the follow-up news log did not include?

In fact, before that election, Mr. Yada had been subjected to malicious (attacks) from the camp of the rival candidate, Watabe.

I was being harassed, and it actually became an issue, and I hear it was even covered on Tochigi TV at the time.

What happened was that two people from Watanabe's camp peeled off Yada's election posters without permission and put up Watanabe's posters instead, and that act has led to them being referred to prosecutors on suspicion of property damage.

What's more, one of the two people referred was the father of Representative Watanabe, and he admits it himself.

So the father of the opposing candidate did something like that and then says 'let's work hard together' — well, that's outrageous, don't you think?

That's something people often say, isn't it.

Certainly the wording may be a bit harsh, but

I can understand that feeling, and

at least as far as how it's reported goes, the impression changes quite a bit depending on whether that information is there or not.

A news program that prides itself on its investigative reporting power didn't present such important information, did it,

and pulled out only strong words like "Hey you, quit messing with me,"

and then, gathering only convenient information, such as the difference in standing (the other person being a newcomer and oneself a big shot) or clearly dividing enemies and allies,

I think it's quite problematic to produce reporting that strongly imprints only an arrogant image of a person.

What's more, the person who had him give that testimony also has quite a history with him, doesn't he?

He is a supporter of a rival candidate,

so we have to consider the possibility that he deliberately made remarks to damage Mr. Yada's image,

and since it is not, at the very least, testimony from someone in a neutral position, I think it is dangerous to accept it as fact.

And furthermore, there is also the part about the connection in the editing that I mentioned earlier as problematic.

That is, in this part, first, in the narration,

Minister Yada pretended to be dealing with a first-term independent freshman lawmaker, Representative Watanabe, who was in opposition, and then used Mr. Yada's voice...

Well, now that I'm in the position of senior deputy secretary-general,

I could say 'come to the secretary-general's office for a moment' and summon someone, I could do this, and that remark was what they linked it to.

But looking at this link, it seems that toward the freshman lawmaker Watanabe,

it looks like he's speaking about the gap between his position as senior deputy secretary-general and Watanabe, who had been his rival candidate,

but in fact this remark isn't about Watanabe;

it came up in a conversation about a powerful local construction-industry figure: in your position, you can summon them to the office and complain directly.

It was a boast about his own people, wasn't it.

That remark itself might be a problem, though.

However, in the News LOG follow-up report,

whether it was because they wanted to heighten the confrontation with the newcomer Watanabe,

the program arbitrarily explained the gap with Watanabe in narration, and then linked this remark to it,

making it seem that, about Watanabe, who was originally completely unrelated,

he had said, "In my position I can summon him to the secretary-general's office" — they're linking it that way.

And, as I said earlier, there was harassment such as having posters removed from that opposing candidate,

and the fact that the other side was referred to prosecutors over documents was not reported, as a program.

I can't tell whether they hid it on purpose because it was inconvenient for them,

I'd say it's a tough call, but

as for the part where they didn't know, they could still make excuses, but

as for the editing splice on our side, you can tell just by listening to the audio.

So it can't be that they didn't notice; they clearly knew and deliberately made a splice that causes that kind of misunderstanding,

so on that point, this side, where the impression manipulation is confirmed, could be called malicious.

And furthermore, if you add the bias of having people with a history of conflict talk about the minister's character,

this News LOG investigative report too, I get the impression that they went quite far.

Whether that was for ratings or for some other purpose, I can't tell, but personally,

it gives an impression of manipulation as malicious as a TBS news special.

The bad thing about this report is that they don't just stop at 'there was such a statement,'

but go out of their way to dig into why such a statement was made,

and yet they don't release the single most important piece of information,

and create a self-serving story of an arrogant personality.

...that's the point where they're bringing it up and reporting on it, you see.

So it feels like they're doing a whole lot of unnecessary things.

And by the way, Nippon TV is running similar reports on programs other than this one,

and recently, they say Miyane-ya has changed and started fresh, and they're talking big about it.

On the program 'News', too, they picked this up, and,

regarding Minister Yada's 'Who the hell do you think you are' remark, you see,

for example, commentator Mr. Takaoka described it as something like an election formula, a standard equation.

If the opposing side comes, let's both do our best.

Of course we're all having a hard time, but that's only natural.

Even so, they criticized the extreme reaction so far as strange,

and furthermore, the commentator Mr. Fumio Umezawa said something like "Don't you mess with us!" and so on,

but as it turned out, the one fooling around was the other party,

and that being the case, of course,

I do think there are problems with Minister Yanada's remarks this time too,

and as for the problematic points, I think criticism is necessary as news reporting,

but, personally, conveying that,

I ended up being bothered by the editing on Nippon TV this time.

However,

as for this,

we started with the idea of making the 'News LOG' follow-up coverage into a news program people can't help but believe,

and explaining why it turned into that kind of report.

It's a program that reports while showing the reporter's interviews, interview notes and so on,

so this time,

as for why they reported it with this kind of editing,

I think they'll do that in the next broadcast.

はい。

Okay.

So that's all,

and today I talked about the matter of Minister Yada being piled on.

Thank you for listening to the end.

大臣を即刻辞めるべきだの一点張りなので、テレビのニュースだけを情報源にしてる人はですね、and it just keeps insisting he must resign immediately, so people who get their information only from TV news,

当然そのテレビが伝えたい通りに受け取って、確かにこれは政治家として問題でしょうと感じる人が多いと思いますし、naturally take it in just as the TV station intends, and many probably feel that this is indeed a problem for a politician,

あるいはですね、なんとなく雰囲気でですね、何か目にしor perhaps it's just a vague impression from something they've seen.

それは専門の人がですね、たくさんYOUTUBEとかでも解説してますので、so that is for the specialists, and many of them are explaining it on YouTube and elsewhere,

そのもっと細かいですね、そういう中身の詳細に関してはそっちの方をね、確認してもらって、判断してもらえたらと思うんですが、so for the more detailed contents and specifics, I'd like you to check those sources and judge for yourselves,

and here I'd like to cover only the problems with how that TV station reported it.

First, what is this case, and why has it become such a dispute in the first place?

The origin of the matter is that on September 30, Shukan Bunshun reported remarks by Minister Yana that were recorded...

This is the audio recording — as for that audio, you see,

、今年五月に行われたとされる地元の自民党関係者のみの会合の場でのですねit was said to be from a meeting held this May, attended only by local LDP-related people.

なんかその地域全体の予算としてはむしろ増えていたりとかですね、but for the region's budget as a whole, it had rather increased, and so on,

あとはその簗大臣が実際に圧力をかけて何か削減させていたとand besides that, Minister Yana had actually applied pressure and had them cut something.

The fact is that it has not been confirmed in the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism's investigation, so

つまり実際のところはその発言したことは事実のようなんですけども、in other words, in reality it seems the remarks he made were facts, but

ただその発言内容自体が事実とは違ったようで、なので実際にはやってないit seems the content of the remarks itself differed from the facts, so he did not actually do it,

and it comes across as a situation where it's unclear why, as if he had said something as though he had done something bad.

And regarding those remarks, Minister Yanagi himself, besides retracting the content and apologizing, as for why he said such a thing,

一人として地元のために一生懸命取り組んでいきたいという思いと同時に、he said he wants to work earnestly for his local area as an individual,

参加者のお気持ちに応えようという思いから、事実と異なる発言をしてしまand at the same time, out of a wish to respond to the participants' feelings, he ended up making remarks that differ from the facts.

...that's what I did.

There was a kind of exhilaration within myself,

and I explained it as having ended up using somewhat exaggerated expressions.

Originally, the influential local people who had supported Minister Yanagi,

途中から対立候補の支援に回っちゃってですね、partway through they switched to supporting the rival candidate,

なんかそこで嫌がらせを受けたりとかしてですね、and, you know, he was harassed there and so on,

二月の選挙では小選挙区で敗れたもののですね、and in the February election he lost in his single-seat district,

ただその後なんとかその比例で復活して、で、まあ出世して、but after that he somehow got revived through proportional representation, and, well, rose in rank,

なんか強い立場になったっていうのと、で、あとその対立候補の方に回った支援者のですね、and the fact that he came to hold a strong position, and also the supporters who had switched to the rival candidate,

キーになってくるのが地元の建設業界の有力者だったりすthe key players turned out to be the influential people of the local construction industry.

It seems like that's the case, so,

その辺がですね、that area, you see,

その道路の予算ともつながってくる話なんで、it ties in with the road budget, and

なんでその選挙の時はですね、相手側について敵対してたわけなんですが、why, at the time of that election, they had been hostile toward the other side, but

今は俺がですね、その予算をつけれる立場なぞみたいなことをその仲間内で自慢していたみたいな、now I'm the one in a position to secure that budget — they were probably boasting about that among their own circle.

Even amid such hardship, toward the people who had supported them, it may have felt close to announcing a small victory.

And well, if they actually applied pressure and tampered with the budget, I think that would be a complete problem, but

一応なんかそういう事実はfor the time being, facts like that...

It seems like nothing has come out yet, so...

So, as for today's TV news, you see,

その事実、その事実はなかったとしても、政治家がそのような発言をしてしまったのは問題だとか、even supposing that fact didn't exist, they say it's a problem that a politician made such a remark, or

大事な税金に対しての不信感を国民に与えてしまったことが問題だということで辞任すべしというですね、that it's a problem that he gave the public a sense of distrust toward important tax money, and so he should resign,

その実際に予算に影響してなかったとしても、そういう発言をしたこと自体が問題だという論調に変えながら、and even if it didn't actually affect the budget, they shift the tone to say that making such remarks is itself the problem,

while continuing coverage saying it won't settle unless he resigns, creating an atmosphere where things won't calm down unless he steps down.

On top of that, while recently also raising new issues like them shuttling voters by free shuttle bus, they keep repeating reports that press the PM on her responsibility for the appointment and drive Minister Yana to resign.

Given those circumstances,

簗大臣としてはですね、as for Minister Yana,

I don't know whether the aim was to rally his own people,

確かにその発言自体は問題なんだとは思うんですが、and I do think the remark itself is certainly a problem, but

ただまあその裏のですね、いろいろこうドロドロしたような状況を踏まえて考えると、still, taking into account the messy circumstances behind it, when you think about it,

果たしてそこまでですね、is it really to that extent...

袋だたきにして辞任に追い込むほどのことなのかっていうところにa matter serious enough to pile on him and drive him to resign?

As for that, opinions may be somewhat divided.

Also, well, as the origin of it, after all it's piggybacking on the audio report that Bunshun put out,

テレビや野党が追及しまくるっていう、まあなんか前にも見たことがあるような光景で、with TV and the opposition parties grilling relentlessly — well, a scene like ones we've seen before,

and what's more, the previous one ended up being the slander video or something, and the suspicion that Bunshun fabricated the Sanae Talk audio or whatever became the bigger issue.

So, to begin with, there are doubts about whether this audio can really be trusted that far,

ただ今のテレビ報道を見る限りは、もうそこに関しては過去にいくら騙されたbut as far as current TV reports go, regarding that point, no matter how much we were deceived in the past...

At any rate, he seems to be placing full trust in Bunshun.

That's the rough situation at the moment, but the main subject starts here.

Admittedly, even if his remark was a problem, the way that TV station reported it also...

かなりの問題が発覚してたりもするんで、それについてですね、...has turned up quite a few problems, and about that,

大体共に頑張りましょうとかですね、お互い全力でいい選挙にしましょうみたいな、they usually say things like "let's all do our best" or "let's make this a great election together."

まずこのてめえふざけんなの発言を紹介した後にfirst, after introducing his 'you bastard, quit messing around' remark,

the narration has Minister Yanada act as if confronting Watanabe, an independent first-term lawmaker.

And then, again using Minister Yanada's audio,

they spliced together the remark 'I'm now in the position of chief deputy secretary-general, so if I call you to the office, I can do things like this'.

So, well, if you look at this closely, it's hard to really tell,

ただまあなんとなくですね、but it just gives a vague kind of impression, you know,

その視聴者はどういう印象を受けるのかというと、but what kind of impression do viewers get from it?

かつて矢田大臣の選挙を支えていて、その後対立候補の渡部氏の支援に回ったっていうですね、he once supported Minister Yada's election, and later went on to support his opponent, Mr. Watanabe,

and I interviewed a man called Mr.

そういうその敵と味方をはっきり分けて物事を決める矢田大臣を印象付けるインタビューを使って、it used an interview that left an impression of Minister Yada as someone who sharply divides enemies from allies and decides things that way,

その後ですね、締めくくりとして、and then, as the closing part,

てめえふざけんな発言の理由に関して、regarding the reason for the 'Hey you, don't screw around' remark,

ナレーションで矢田氏のかつての支援者たちは、対立候補であったthe narration said that Mr.

Well,

対立候補は新人の敵、自分は大物、敵と味方をはっきり分けて考えるthe opposing candidate is a newcomer and an enemy, while he himself is a big shot, clearly separating enemies from allies,

and Minister Yada is an arrogant man who, though facing a newcomer, thinks 'Let's work hard together?

てめえふざけんなという強い言葉だけを抜き取って、and pulled out only strong words like "Hey you, quit messing with me,"

そして相手は新人で自分は大物である立場の差だったりとか、敵と味方をはっきり分けるといった都合のいい情報だけを集めて、and then, gathering only convenient information, such as the difference in standing (the other person being a newcomer and oneself a big shot) or clearly dividing enemies and allies,

I think it's quite problematic to produce reporting that strongly imprints only an arrogant image of a person.

What's more, the person who had him give that testimony also has quite a history with him, doesn't he?

He is a supporter of a rival candidate,

矢田氏のイメージを落とす発言を意図的にする可能性は考慮しなくてはいけませんしso we have to consider the possibility that he deliberately made remarks to damage Mr.

私は今ヒット副幹事長という立場っていう、その対立候補だった渡辺議員との格差についてですね、発言しているように見えるんですが、ただ実際はですね、it looks like he's speaking about the gap between his position as senior deputy secretary-general and Watanabe, who had been his rival candidate,

この発言って渡辺議員について言ってるのではなくて、but in fact this remark isn't about Watanabe;

地元の建設業の有力者についての話の流れでですね、自分の立場なら幹事長室に呼び出し、直接文句を言うことができるんだぞというit came up in a conversation about a powerful local construction-industry figure: in your position, you can summon them to the office and complain directly.

It was a boast about his own people, wasn't it.

That remark itself might be a problem, though.

However, in the News LOG follow-up report,

その新人の渡辺議員との対立関係を強めたいがためだったのか、whether it was because they wanted to heighten the confrontation with the newcomer Watanabe,

渡辺議員との格差を番組が勝手にナレーションで説明し、その後この発言をつなげることで、the program arbitrarily explained the gap with Watanabe in narration, and then linked this remark to it,

本来は全く関係のない渡辺議員について、making it seem that, about Watanabe, who was originally completely unrelated,

he had said, "In my position I can summon him to the secretary-general's office" — they're linking it that way.

And, as I said earlier, there was harassment such as having posters removed from that opposing candidate,

相手は書類送検されたみたいな事実を報じなかったのは、それは番組としてand the fact that the other side was referred to prosecutors over documents was not reported, as a program.

I can't tell whether they hid it on purpose because it was inconvenient for them,

I'd say it's a tough call, but

その知らなかったんですで、まだ言い逃れもできなくはないんですけど、as for the part where they didn't know, they could still make excuses, but

as for the editing splice on our side, you can tell just by listening to the audio.

なぜそんな発言があったのかの理由までわざわざ深掘りしておいて、but go out of their way to dig into why such a statement was made,

そのくせ一番重要な情報は出さずにand yet they don't release the single most important piece of information,

、勝手な傲慢人物像ストーリーを作and create a self-serving story of an arrogant personality.

...that's the point where they're bringing it up and reporting on it, you see.

So it feels like they're doing a whole lot of unnecessary things.

And by the way, Nippon TV is running similar reports on programs other than this one,

and recently, they say Miyane-ya has changed and started fresh, and they're talking big about it.

On the program 'News', too, they picked this up, and,

で、矢田大臣のですね、てめえふざけんな発言についてですね、regarding Minister Yada's 'Who the hell do you think you are' remark, you see,

for example, commentator Mr. Takaoka described it as something like an election formula, a standard equation.

If the opposing side comes, let's both do our best.

Of course we're all having a hard time, but that's only natural.

Even so, they criticized the extreme reaction so far as strange,

さらにコメンテーターの梅沢富美男さんはですね、お前がふざけるなだよと発言ということでですね、and furthermore, the commentator Mr. Fumio Umezawa said something like "Don't you mess with us!" and so on,

結果としてはふざけてるのはお前の方だったわけですが、but as it turned out, the one fooling around was the other party,

そんなことでですね、もちろんand that being the case, of course,

I do think there are problems with Minister Yanada's remarks this time too,

それが問題なところはですね、報道として批判は必要だとは思うんですが、and as for the problematic points, I think criticism is necessary as news reporting,

I ended up being bothered by the editing on Nippon TV this time.

However,

これについてはですね、as for this,

追跡取材ニュースログって信じざるを得ない報道番組にするということでスタートして、we started with the idea of making the 'News LOG' follow-up coverage into a news program people can't help but believe,

どうしてそういう報道になったのかっていうですね、and explaining why it turned into that kind of report.

It's a program that reports while showing the reporter's interviews, interview notes and so on,

なので今回ですね、so this time,

なぜこういう編集で報じてしまったのかということについてはですね、as for why they reported it with this kind of editing,

I think they'll do that in the next broadcast.

はい。Okay.

So that's all,

and today I talked about the matter of Minister Yada being piled on.

Thank you for listening to the end.
