And now we're without a kitchen, without a laundry room, without a living room, without a basement.

E provavelmente a gente vai ficar nessa situação pelos próximos dois meses.

And we'll probably be in this situation for the next two months.

É por isso que eu estou meio sumida das redes sociais.

That's why I've been a bit absent from social media.

O último vídeo que eu postei foi o meu vídeo de faxina, um dia antes dessa tragédia acontecer.

The last video I posted was my cleaning video, one day before this tragedy happened.

E quando eu falo pras pessoas que não pode tá se lavando casa aqui nos Estados Unidos, as pessoas não entendem.

And when I tell people that you can't be washing the house here in the United States, they don't understand.

Eu vou contar minha história agora pra vocês,

I'm going to tell you my story now,

pra vocês entenderem a gravidade de você jogar água no chão de uma casa aqui dos Estados Unidos.

so you understand how serious it is to throw water on the floor of a house here in the United States.

Nesse caso, foi muita água.

In this case, it was a lot of water.

Há uns dois dias atrás, o Ron saiu, foi pra academia, eu fiquei em casa sozinha,

A couple of days ago, Ron went out, went to the gym, and I stayed home alone,

as crianças tavam na escola,

the kids were at school,

e aí ele me ligou falando que ele queria fazer a janta e pediu pra eu descongelar um frango.

and then he called me saying he wanted to make dinner and asked me to defrost a chicken.

E aí aqui em casa nós temos duas pias na cozinha, que eu acho maravilhoso, gente.

And so, here at home we have two sinks in the kitchen, which I think is wonderful, guys.

A gente tem a pia principal, onde a gente lava os nossos pratos, e uma segunda pia na ilha.

We have the main sink, where we wash our dishes, and a second sink on the island.

E aqui em casa a gente gosta de encher essa pia com água morna pra descongelar a carne mais rápido.

And here at home we like to fill this sink with warm water to defrost the meat faster.

E aí na hora que o Ron me ligou pra descongelar a carne,

And right when Ron called me to thaw the meat,

eu estava justamente no meio de editar um vídeo.

I was right in the middle of editing a video.

Aí eu parei o que eu tava fazendo pra pegar a carne e ir descongelar.

So I stopped what I was doing to grab the meat and go thaw it.

Aí eu fui encher a pia de água, só que a água tava muito devagar.

Then I went to fill the sink with water, but the water was running very slowly.

Aí na minha cabeça:

Then I thought to myself:

"Vou deixar aqui enchendo, eu vou no meu computador e aí eu já volto pra ver se a pia encheu".

"I'll leave it filling here, go to my computer, and come right back to see if the sink has filled up."

O problema é que eu nunca voltei.

The problem is that I never came back.

E aí nesse dia, pra minha sorte, graças a Deus, tinha ligado aquele robozinho que aspira.

And thank God, that day, luckily for me, I had turned on that little robot vacuum.

E eu sentada no meu computador, escuto esse robô entrando no nosso escritório e fazendo um barulho estranho.

And sitting at my computer, I hear the robot coming into our office making a strange noise.

Na hora que eu viro, gente, que eu olho pra esse robô, ele cheio de água.

The moment I turn around, guys, and look at that robot, it's full of water.

Nisso, eu corro pra ver da onde que tava vindo a água.

At that, I run to see where the water was coming from.

Quando eu chego próximo da cozinha, a cozinha inundada.

When I get close to the kitchen, the kitchen is flooded.

Era tanta água.

There was so much water.

A água tava tão alta, gente, tava batendo no meu tornozelo.

The water was so high, guys, it was reaching my ankle.

Eu corri e fui pegar o rodo, né, pra tentar tirar a água de dentro da cozinha.

I ran and went to get the squeegee, right, to try to get the water out of the kitchen.

O problema é que as casas nos Estados Unidos,

The problem is that in houses in the United States,

ninguém lava a casa por dentro, então ela não tem vazão de água.

nobody washes the house on the inside, so it has no drainage for water.

Na porta, tem um batentezinho que levanta, então não tinha nem como eu puxar e tirar a água de dentro de casa.

At the door there's a little ledge that rises up, so there was no way for me to pull the water out from inside the house.

E aí nessa hora, meu desespero, minha ansiedade aumentando.

And right then, my despair and my anxiety kept growing.

Eu corri e peguei todas as toalhas e todos os forros de cama pra jogar na cozinha e secar o mais rápido possível.

I ran and grabbed all the towels and all the bed linens to throw them in the kitchen and dry it as fast as possible.

O Ron finalmente chegou em casa com as crianças, tomou um susto, mas ele entendeu até muito bem.

Ron finally got home with the kids, got a fright, but he understood quite well.

E aí quando a gente pensa que conseguiu limpar tudo, secar tudo,

And just when we think we've managed to clean everything and dry everything,

o Ron resolve levar as crianças pro porão pra elas brincarem.

Ron decides to take the kids down to the basement so they can play.

Eu só escuto ele: "Talita, desce aqui".

I just hear him say: "Talita, come down here."

Quando eu chego no porão, gente, o porão alagado.

When I get to the basement, guys, the basement is flooded.

A água literalmente caindo do teto.

Water is literally falling from the ceiling.

Então basicamente a água desceu pelo piso, entrou na estrutura da casa e saiu destruindo vários cômodos diferentes.

So basically the water went down through the floor, entered the structure of the house and went on to destroy several different rooms.

Ontem mesmo eles já mandaram uma equipe pra começar a abrir todo o nosso porão.

Just yesterday they already sent a team to start opening up our whole basement.

Eles tiraram todo o forro de cima pra conseguir entrar na estrutura da casa, colocaram esses ventiladores enormes.

They removed all the ceiling lining so they could get into the structure of the house, and put in these huge fans.

E hoje eles começaram a demolir a nossa cozinha, a nossa área de serviço, a nossa sala.

And today they started demolishing our kitchen, our laundry area, our living room.

Eu ainda estou na esperança que eles consigam terminar antes do Natal,

I'm still hoping that they manage to finish before Christmas,

pra gente pelo menos conseguir comemorar Natal na nossa casa nova.

so that we can at least celebrate Christmas in our new house.

E eu vou continuar gravando conteúdo, só que eles vão estar um pouquinho diferentes dessa vez.

And I'm going to keep recording content, but this time it's going to look a little different.
